Why do you need to evaluate your website?
If your website is not built properly you may significantly reduce its usefulness to obtain leads or sales which will increase business. The experience of a professional website consultant who also has a good working knowledge of search engines can guide you on areas of your website that need improvement. This arms you with information about what improvements are needed and the time these improvements should take, giving you control when you discuss your site with your web people.

How can I tell if our website is built properly?
Website builders come in two forms, the designers and the developers. If you have a website that is not working as well as you want, but you are happy with the design then you probably have it built by a website designer. If the functionality of your website is how you like it but the visuals are not up to par with your branding then it is probably built by a website developer.

How can I improve my website to attract more visitors?
Evaluating your website by a website consultant who is both a website designer and a website developer will enable you to see the areas that require amending to improve the website. A comprehensive list of things which can be done to improve your websites position in the search engine and also advise you on the key areas of your website which are important to the search engines.

How much will it cost me to put my website right?
A website evaluation will allow you to talk to your website designer or website developer on your terms. With a website evaluation the areas of improvement will also show you how long each amendment will take to put right so you will have the knowledge to be able to negotiate the price. It will also show you things that you or someone in your business can do to constantly improve your websites traffic.

What kind of information is provided on a website evaluation?
There are three main areas for website evaluation. These are keyword analysis, on-site and off-site criteria which are essential to be in place to provide improved traffic for your website. The evaluation is completed by an independent website consultant and consists of the following

1. Keyword analysis: What people are actually typing into the search engines to find your products and services. This list is extremely valuable to target users you want to come into your website.

2. Onsite optimisation: Based on the keywords that are suggested, the evaluation will check to see if the website has these keywords in the specific parts of the website that the search engines look for them. If they are not there the evaluation will explain in simple terms where they should be, how they should be presented and how long it would take your website people to change them. The page structure will be analysed and you will be provided with a view of how the search engines see your page. Analysis of this result will be provided with a report on our findings. We will also have a look at the search engine and user view of your website navigation. It is important that search engines can see each page and each page is built correctly.
We will also check to see if the website complies to accessibility rules and legal areas such as the Companies Act legislation which came into force on 1st Jan 2007 or the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002.

3. Off-site promotion: This is the area where you will get the most traffic increase. We will analyse what activity has been done to promote your website currently and see if it has been done the correct way. We will advise on the way that your website people or people within your business can dramatically improve your targeted website traffic. A report of our findings will be sent to you with associated costs that you would expect to pay to improve the off site promotion of your website.
